This past Friday, the weather was so beautiful here in NYC-it was upto the 60's! It was a nice change from the usual cold weather we have been dealing with. But alas, the temperatures dropped-as expected, and it's back to the chilly cold again. Spring and Summer can't come soon enough.
Here is another edition of Beauty Crave, and for this round, a few of the items featured are ones that totally remind me of the warmer weather months. Let's get to it shall we?
1. China Glaze Crackle Collection ($6.49)- I love sporting fun colors on my nails come spring/summer. But, I tend to ditch the solid manis and get more creative with funky nail art. Imagine my excitement when I saw that China Glaze released their six piece crackle collection (shown above are cracked concrete and crushed candy), which allows one to create the ever-so-popular crackle design. Just layer the colors over your favorite polish, and voila! Watch the crackle pattern appear before your eyes.
2. Smashbox Master's Class Style Files ($59.00)- I have seen Smashbox release a few kits, but this one takes the cake. The portable palettes house everything you need for creating looks for the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Amazing value! Included in the kit are 8 eyeshadows (combo mix of shimmers and mattes), 4 cream eyeliners, 2 eyeliner pencils, 2 lip glosses, 2 cheek colors (peach, warmer bronze), and of course, an instrucional booklet that contains step by step instructions for creating a variety of different looks.
3. Bobbi Brown Corrector ($22.00)- Believe it or not, I am still on the hunt for the perfect concealer. I am starting to think that the problem isn't with my current concealer though. Maybe I need to look more into color correcting. I know many makeup artists swear by color correcting problem areas first, before they apply concealer on top. My problem area of course, are my dark undereye circles. They are sort of brownish in color, so, I was thinking that maybe a peach corrector would help cancel out the discoloration. I am definitely thinking about trying the Bobbi Brown corrector and seeing if it gives me the results I am hoping it gives me. have any of you tried it? I would love to know your thoughts.
4. Tarina Tarantino Floriculture Palette ($38.00)- If these eyeshadows, along with the adorable flower print packaging does not remid you of Spring/Summer, I don't know what will. I have never ventured into Tarina Tarantino cosmetics, but I have always admired the adorable, girly, and chic packaging everytime I spot the line at Sephora. These paraben-free shadows look buttery smooth, and I think this set of 8 shadows would work great for creating simple, day and night eye looks.
5. St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Lotion ($40.00)- I have come to LOVE tanning in the summer. My body is super pale, and I really like it when my body has that warm, natural looking glow to it.But of course, I tan safely. I am all about self tanning lotions! Last summer my self tanner of choice was Sun Laboratories Ultra Dark Self Tan Lotion. I really liked it, but I also want to branch out and see if there is something better out there. I have read great things about the St. Tropez Self Tanning Bronzing Lotion, so I may try it out come summer.
Are any of these items on your crave list? Let me know!
